MTV’s 120 Minutes program ran from 1986 to 2000, fourteen years and countless incredible music videos. The show was conceived by MTV VJ Dave Kendall, who also hosted the show from 1988 to 1992. Anyone interested in music for that epic run owes a lot to Kendall for creating the program and helping to focus it on artist off the mainstream. Kendall passed in 2026 but his impact will not be forgotten.
